We want to make it easier for people with intellectual disability and autistic people to go to hospital.

Health workers do not receive training and education in providing care for people with intellectual disability and autistic people. As a result, people with intellectual disability and those on the autism spectrum experience poor access to health care and often die earlier than the general population.

We want to change this. We're making education for health professionals to fill knowledge gaps in intellectual disability and autism.

Can you help?

We want to talk to adults with intellectual disability and Autistic adults as well as their support people.

We'd like to find out

  • what happened when you went to hospital

  • the things that needs to change

  • what you think we need to teach health professionals about disability

We also want to talk to health and hospital workers

We want to know

  • your experiences of providing health care to people with intellectual disability and autistic people

  • the things we need to cover in our education

We can come to a place that suits you (in South East QLD) or chat on Zoom. It will take about an hour.

We'll give you a $100 gift card for your time.
