9 Jun 2016

Congratulations to Miriam Taylor Gomez (Education coordinator, QCIDD, MRI-UQ) for winning the UQ Award for Excellence in Equity and Diversity (Individual category) for her outstanding contribution to the ABLE XSeries, a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), officially launched on 24th March 2016. Internationally, this is the first MOOC focusing on the physical health of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Professor Doune Macdonald, then the Pro-Vice Chancellor Teaching and Learning, stated in her laudation that I “resonate with the values of UQ… Wherever she went in creating this resource, she took her drive, her vision, and her warmth, and for that she is truly remarkable.”
