Test your blood glucose levels
Have your insulin injections every day
Be very careful when and what you eat
Exercise regularly
Check your feet for sores, calluses or cuts
Visit the doctor and other diabetes health team members when you should
Stop smoking
Remember, insulin injections give your body the insulin it needs to use glucose for energy.
You will get sick very quickly if you don't have your insulin injections.
Low insulin can make you feel tired.
Low insulin can make you go to the toilet to pass urine.
Low insulin can make you feel thirsty.
Long Term Complications
If you do not eat healthy food, exercise regularly, or visit your doctor regularly, you can make yourself very sick.
You could have problems with your:
- Eyes
- Feet
- Heart
- Kidneys
- Nervous system
